Saul :
Hey guys just a heads up the next Redshift build will be integrating Full OCIO 2.1 support. This is going to be a major change and will be adding a lot of new options/parameters and change the general workflow. There will be a dedicated Dev post in the forums going into detail about this new core change. I took a few screenshots and will briefly mention what is changing/being added.
1: Redshift will ship with its own built in OCIO 2 config (ACES ready)
2: Redshift will also support arbitrary OCIO configs from disk
3: Redshift render settings to set the OCIO rendering space
4: Dome lights + Backplate have OCIO color space options
5: Environment Lights + Backplate have OCIO Color space options
6: Texture Node will have new OCIO Color Space Options
7: Light Temperature Controls use the OCIO Rendering space
8: Melanin for the Principled Hair shader use OCIO Rendering space
9: Physical sun & Sky use the OCIO Rendering Space
10: 3dsmax will have a custom Color Picker to support OCIO
What this means is automatically behind the scenes if you use for example the ACEScg rendering space Redshift will automatically use the correct color space for blackbody temperature on lights, melanin on hair, and the physical sun/sky. The color picker for Maya, Houdini already support OCIO and 3dsmax will have a custom Redshift one. More info will be available in the Dev post.
