I am having this problem and I hope I can find some help here, usually I don't instantly jump into forums and ask, I spend a few days trying to find a solution, but in this particular case, I failed, for a week I kept on searching along the internet and couldn't find anything, so here is my problem. I can't figure out a way to export my fur intro an alembic from houdini to maya and be able to play it, to do stuff, I have this animated panther which I finished grooming, and now I want to export that animated fur into maya, so I can render my scene, and it doesn't matter what settings I use to export it into alembic, when I open it in maya, it goes nuts in way that affects performance very bad, doesn't matter how good my pc is, now I read something about using proxy or something like that, but I don't know how to do that in houdini and there is no tutorial about that.
Also how do you export your fur texture that you've created in houdini, into maya?
So if anyone can help me with this one, maybe you guys know some tutorial, or can explain me or anything that can guide me to the right path, I would be very grateful.
